Co-Create: From different perspectives to shared action

Some decisions keep returning to the table. More information is requested. The same arguments resurface. Meanwhile, people wait for direction.

How do you move forward when certainty remains out of reach?

Bringing people together can improve a decision — especially when they contribute different expertise, challenge assumptions and understand what implementation will require. But discussion alone won’t move things forward.

Could it help to make the decision itself clearer? What needs to be decided? Who owns that decision? Whose input is needed, and what would be enough to take the next step?

Think of a decision that has stalled. In your next discussion, you might ask: “What do we know, what remains uncertain, and what do we need in order to move forward?”

Then invite a perspective that hasn’t been heard: “What are we overlooking?” or “What would make this difficult to put into practice?”

Co-creation doesn’t require everyone to agree on everything. It helps people shape a workable solution, understand the choices being made and take responsibility for their part.

Before closing the conversation, what if you checked three things together: what has been decided, who will do what, and when you will review progress?

What would help your next conversation end with a decision people can act on?
